Online education can serve (and often save) students confined to detention centers who are at severe academic risk. This program offers over 45 courses for students who reside in a juvenile detention facility and need to take courses for grades 6-12 for a minimum of 4 weeks. Students use the center's lab facilities and equipment while KVE provides remote instructional support. In order to comply with regulations, all course components that typically require student interaction may be removed (i.e. discussion threads, live class sessions).
